Finance, Contracts & Supply Management

with Contracts and Supply Management. The Contracts & Supply Management
department works specifically with suppliers and customers to maximize
the value of our products. Contracts & Supply Management oversees
policies for bids, contracts, product tests and procedures. Finance
handles financial accounting, customer billing and collections, accounts
payable and other finance-related programs.
Information Technology
The Seattle Times Company Information Technology (IT) department supports,
develops and maintains a wide spectrum of computer systems and platforms.
These range across publishing systems, financial systems, distribution
systems, and advertising systems, among many others. IT continually
searches for ways to improve our systems and our customers' ability
to do business with us.
New Media
The Seattle Times Company New Media department explores new methods
of news and information through technology. New Media operates six
Web sites: seattletimes.com, NWsource Classifieds, NWjobs.com, NWautos.com and NWhomes.com.
All are a part of The Seattle Times Company Online Network.
Operations
The Seattle Times Company Operations department maintains state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for all the stages of newspaper production, from receiving to printing to recycling. Divisions include Facilities, Prepress, Traffic and Planning, Printing, Packaging and Assembly, Maintenance and Engineering, and Recycling. Operations also schedules tours of our production facility in Bothell, Washington.
